Corralejo's New Botanical Garden
The first phase of the Botanical Garden in Corralejo was inaugurated on Sunday March 27, and will be open to the public between the 8th and 10th of April 2011.
Located behind the headquarters of the Guardia Civil close to the El Campanario shopping centre, this project was funded under the Plan E scheme of the Government, Fondo Estatal para el Empleo y la Sostenibilidad Local.
It has an Interpretation Centre for the Corralejo Dunes, a visitors' centre, botanical garden, sports area, kids play area, rest area, and a wifi zone.

Canary Islands Post Tourism Jump on Arab Revolts
23 March 2011 - Official data showed the number of tourists to the Canary Islands increased in February as sunseekers shunned rival resorts in Egypt and Tunisia because of anti-government uprisings there.

Fuerteventura Registers the Biggest Increase in Tourist Numbers
According to the regional Department of Tourism, Fuerteventura has the biggest increase in tourist visitors for February -- a significant 47% up on the same month in 2010.
Tenerife was up over 19% and Gran Canaria by 18.72%.

New Easyjet Flights and Ryanair Routes to Fuerteventura
Easyjet has added a new Bristol-Fuerteventura route last month, which runs twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday. This takes the number of routes to Fuerteventura to four - the others being Madrid, Liverpool and London Stansted.
Ryanair also announced two new routes to Shannon every Saturday and Birmingham on Monday and Friday.
