International tourist arrivals to the island has again increased in June by 30%, almost a third more than in June last year.
The increase was greatly due to visitors from Great Britain (15,305) and Germany (3,379), and Ireland staging a comeback with 3,000 new visitors.
This year also saw the arrival of Danish and Swedish tourists. Other promising markets include France and Poland. (Source: Fuerteventura Magazine Hoy)
Despite the challenges of the past months, Fuerteventura Canary Islands remains to be a favourite holiday destination. We expect these numbers to continue to rise in the winter especially with more affordable airlines increasing their winter flights, e.g., Cork-Fuerteventura, Leeds-Fuerteventura!
